Driving Route Information

Please note that the driving route is always changing as road improvements make alternative routes become more attractive. You should remember to check with reliable internet traffic and roadwork updates before setting out on your Three Peaks Challenge.

Main trunk routes including A82, M74, M6, M56 and A55 all have overhead matrix information signs which give prior warning of accidents or delays.

Expect to travel around 450 miles, and expect to be on the road for about 6 hours between Fort William and Wasdale, then a further 5 hours from Wasdale to Llanberis. The route via Seathwaite is an hour or so quicker.
